CPIPC Feb 2026 Meeting
Rebecca Lipscomb, VP of Global Regulatory Affairs at INX Internationa Ink Co. attended and presented her talk entitled "Printing Trends: leveling up complianace" at the Chicago Printing Ink Production Club Technical Meeting and dinner at La Hacienda de los Fernandez Restaurant in Addison, IL.
Rebecca’s presentation focused on current regulatory and product safety trends:
•FDA/EU food contact, migration limits, GMPs, Toys
•Chemical laws REACH, GHS, TSCA, CLP
•Not just product safety it’s product accountability
Voluntary trends:
•Co2 Footprint Tracking
•Net Zero Pledges (SBTi, Net Zero 2030)
•Optional unless tied to specific jurisdictional mandate
•Green Storytelling (planet positive branding, sustainable life messaging)
•Certifications (Fair Trade, C2C)
•Regenerative/Circular Programs
•Take back schemes
•Reuse/refill pilots
•EcoVadis, CDP, GRI, Sedex
Legislation trends:
•EU PPWR – Packaging Waste Regulation
•EU DPP – Digital Product Passport
•PFAS State Laws
•Chemical Safety Rules (i.e. Microplastics, EFSA reassessments,
•TSCA risk reviews
•EPR – extended Producer Responsibility
Following her presentation after dinner, Rebecca was presented with Chicago Printing Ink Production Club appreciation plaque, by Charles Billstrand, CPIPC President and Janene Krull, CPIPC Vice President.
